Guidelines for e-posters for ORCA Congress 2021

Recommendations and requirements to optimise your e-poster display on screen
(e-posters will be published on the ORCA2021 website)

  • presentation format is a 1 page PDF document showing the entire content of the poster
  • landscape format 16 x 9
  • file size must be less than 20 MB
  • document may be created in Powerpoint or Keynote
  • the file MUST be saved as PDF under the surname of the presenting author
  • important fields to include in the e-poster:
    – title, author(s), address (at upper edge, across the width the whole poster)
    – aim (avoid introductions)
    – methods
    – results
    – conclusions
    – references (where needed) and Declaration of interest (mandatory)
  • make use of drawings, schematics, flow charts, table and figures where possible
  • limit text to the minimum needed for understanding
  • maximum word number is 250 to 300
  • the use of colour makes the poster more attractive and effective
  • suggested font types: Times New Roman, Helvetica, Arial, Calibri, Verdana or Symbol
  • font size: 14 points or bigger
  • do not include QR codes
  • do not include animations
  • images and tables – at least 200 dpi, good picture quality is essential
  • all graphs and tables must be embedded in the file
  • please avoid animated GIF files and respect the copyrights and personal anonymity of the pictures and tables
  • do not insert or embed any videos in your file
  • for Apple Macintosh users: please do not drag and drop to insert pictures into your file as graphs and images would not display properly

    Submission

    • e-posters in the specified form should be sent no later than June 04, 2021 to the e-mail address: danijela@conventuscredo.hr
    • e-posters sent after the specified date will not be accepted for presentation, except in the form of an abstract in the Book of Abstracts
    • for all questions regarding the creation of e-posters of the specified format, please contact us at the same e-mail address

      Instructions for poster presentations
      (to be presented live during the scientific program)

      • PowerPoint presentation consisting of 2 (two) slides without animations
      • presentation time: in total 7 minutes (3 min. presentation, 4 min. discussion)
      • technical rehearsal will take place a few days prior to the congress, more information to follow soon
